Welcome to Aflame Ministry with your host Pastor Kathleen Panning. Kathleen Panning who has been an ordained minister for over 35 years brings her experience to your ministry. Be it engerizing your staff or working through conflicts within your faith community. Tune in as Kathleen guides you through the many challenges that face our faith based communities today as she ignites the ministry of your faith-community so that more people can hear the message of God’s love.
Pastor Kathleen Panning:
Education: B.A. from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.
Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN
Ordination: 1980 as a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
(ELCA)
Ministries served:
- 2 small rural congregations;
- a staff pastor (1 of 5 full time pastors) at a large congregation (then 6000 members);
- interim chaplain at a multi-level retirement community;
- in a team ministry with her husband at a large rural congregation
Continuing Education:
- Cancer residency for clergy, LaCrosse Hospital, LaCrosse, WI
- 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education, Meriter Hospitals, Madison, WI
• Trained as an Option Process Mentor/Counselor from the Option Institute in Sheffield, MA
• Training as a health & wellness coach
Certifications & other training:
• Certified by the ELCA as both a hospital and long-term care chaplain
• Fascinate Certified Advisor by How To Fascinate, Orlando, FL
• Trained group facilitator

Retired from full-time ministry in 2014 to pursue coaching with faith leaders and congregations and to develop a mastermind group with female faith leaders (this is still in the works). Kathleen continues to fill in for other pastors on some Sunday mornings.
